Overview:
Performs service, repair and/or installation of company product(s) including system hardware, software, PCs and Point of Sale (POS) equipment. Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Serves as customer contact on technical and service related problems. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures. Determines most cost effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime. May involve use of problem management databases and help desk system.
Weekends or after hours support schedule to be discussed. May assist during the day for other calls or when needed as well as partake in on-call rotation.
In this position you will go to client sites within a 3 hour radius of your home to support named accounts and regular dispatch. There may be times a tech is needed in another area, thus may go outside the radius.
Responsibilities:
Represents CompuCom in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates.
Interacts with customer responding to technical questions or request for information.
Processes timely and accurate information to ensure compliance with warranty requirements of vendors.
Maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction by resolving all tangible problems and concerns.
Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support. This includes service that exceeds response time, repair time, lack of parts, or any other issue that could impact customer satisfaction.
Primarily provides Tier 1 & 2 level support; occasionally performs Tier 3 level support.
Performs general maintenance tasks, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment.
Performs basic computer hardware and software installations.
Ensures all systems work properly and equipment is packaged and transported correctly
Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support. This includes service that exceeds response time, repair time, lack of parts, or any other issue that could impact customer satisfaction.

POS experience preferre
MF Printer support required
Lexmark priner support and certifications a plus
Xerox printer support and certifications a plus
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience, high school diploma, or technical training, or equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
Ability to attain A
certification with 90 days of employment.
Retail Service and Self Checkout Device Experience preferred.
Would prefer OEM certificaitons such as Lenovo, Dell, HP, Lexmark, Xerox to name a few
Must be willing to go on a lift and fix Access Points when necessary throughout the Store locations
Must have Clean Driving record Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
